Reading for Week of December 7-11, 2015
This week we will be presenting reports on our History of Us chapters and The Captive chapters. Each child has been assigned one chapter in A History of Us to present, and two chapters of The Captive to present.
Children will only read and report only on their chapters. They will give a summary of their chapters and tell the high points. Each chapter has questions to answer, but the children should not limit themselves to this information only.
They will present a complete summary of the chapters. They will answer their questions only as the high points in the chapter. Their presentations will not be limited to only the questions.
Check back on Monday evening and I will have a complete list of who and when the children will present.
There is no need for a poster or pictures, but they may do a poster if they think this will help them to present.
On Wednesday of next week, the children will report on an explorer they have chosen. A poster will be helpful at that time, but not required.
On Thursday of next week, the children will present a Book Project on The Captive by Scott O'Dell. They have a list of acceptable activities they may choose. I will give them a rubric for their project, so they will know how it will be graded.
